Peter Aerts Workshop

Am 11.04.2009 war es nun so weit. Das langersehnte Peter Aerts Seminar fand statt. Peter reiste mit William Diender und Hans Loeffen nach Haltern . Trotz Ostern kamen nahezu 100 Teilnehmer aus ganz Deutschland, Holland, Luxemburg und Frankreich.

Nach einer kurzen Vorstellung seiner Person und einem kurzen Aufwärmen ging es zum Seminarteil selbst über.
Peter zeigte den Teilnehmern seine Techniken, die ihn zum Erfolg führen. Es standen keine alltbekannten Kombinationen auf dem Programm, sondern u.a. Lowkicktechniken und verfeinerte Kontertechniken, die es sonst nicht so oft zu sehen gibt.

Peter veranschaulichte alles mit Hilfe von William Diender. Nach dem Vorführen waren die Teilnehmer angehalten, das erlernte Wissen umzusetzen. Peter und Willam gingen umher und korrigierten, wo dies nötig war. Nach etwas mehr als 2 Stunden und einer offenen Diskussion zwischen den Teilnehmern und Peter, endete das Seminar mit einer großen Tombola und einem Fotoshooting.

Ungewöhnlich war der Zeitpunkt, als wir das Hanuman Camp verließen. Es ist mal wieder fast 19:00 Uhr gewesen.
Wie so oft festgequatscht, Kontakte genüpft und Peter mußte natürlich noch wegen der unzähligen Foto- und Autogrammwünsche Überstunden machen.

On 11.04.2009 we held our Peter Aerts workshop. Peter arrived with William Diender and Hans Loeffen in Germany. Although it was the easterweekend, nearly 100 participants from all parts of Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France attended the seminar. After a short introduction of Peter, followed by a warm up, Peter started with the seminar itself.

Peter showed the techniques, that make him successful in the K-1 sport. He didn`t show simple combinations to the students, it was more or less about lowkick- and countertechniques. These techniques are not so common to be shown and therefore the participants tried to catch up as much as they could. Peter showed all the techniques with the assistance of William Diender. After showing them to the students, the participants had to try for it theirselves.

Peter and Willam walked arround and corrected the students, whenever it was necessary.
After approx. 2 hours, an open discussion with Q & A`s, the seminar ended with a huge raffle and a fotoshooting with Peter and William.

At around 19 o`clock we left the Hanuman Camp in Haltern. As it has been the case very often before, we forgot the time while talking and resting. Peter himself had to go through some overtime according to the huge demand in photos and autographs.
